Moving Day is Coming to Atlanta!
Get ready to MOVE Atlanta! NPF Georgia is bringing the Moving Day Walk for Parkinson's to the Georgia Tech Campus on November 9th to raise awareness about Parkinson's Disease and to raise funds for Parkinson's Research, Education, and Wellness programs. Moving Day is the National Parkinson Foundation's signature awareness event. Atlanta will join Cedartown, Rome, and Augusta as Georgia cities chosen to host this national event.
Moving Day is more than just another fundraising walk. Moving Day will move you and others to speak up about Parkinson’s disease. It’s a day to change the state of awareness about a disease that affects so many of our family and friends. It’s a movement for everyone to join together to move the needle.
Moving Day will feature family-friendly walk routes, food, music and celebration for people of all ages and abilities. A unique feature of this fundraising event will be a Movement Fair, including demonstrations of Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, dance, and much more, illustrating the importance of movement to people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Call the NPF Georgia office today to find out how you can become involved as a participant (Walker or Team Captain), sponsor, or volunteer. Our number is 706-412-3264! People who MOVE change the World!
